Divine Collaboration

Fly Ballet from Susannah Bradley on Vimeo.

I sat down to do some drawings today, put on some tunes and opened the window. When I looked over my shoulder a few moments later about a dozen flies had come inside. Oh great. I got up and tried to usher them towards the window. They didn’t want to leave.

I paused to watch them for a moment. They weren’t landing on anything. They were flying continuously in the middle of the room, sometimes together, sometimes not, sometimes in sleepy square patterns, sometimes aggressively bombing one another. I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by their ballet. Divine collaboration.
